All About Rocksbox + A Promo Code to Get You One Month of Free Jewelry!

Hi everyone! I have some very exciting news for my readers. I'm sure if you follow me on Instagram you know that since October I've been using the service called Rocksbox. Well after a few months of testing them out and loving them (Seriously there has yet to be a box I haven't purchased something out of!) I've had the opportunity to become a Rocksbox "It Girl" and they have agreed to sponsor me! Meaning I now have a promo code I can give to all of you so you can try them and have your first whole month free. That's right, FREE. But before I get to the goodies, first I want to tell you a bit about Rocksbox!

So, what is Rocksbox?

Rocksbox is an awesome online jewelry rental service as well as shop. Basically all you need to do is sign up and for $21/month you receive unlimited jewelry on loan, but if you love a piece you receive, you can purchase it on Rocksbox or simply just not send it back with the rest of your set! Also, if you're worried about pesky mail service fees, don't be because Rocksbox has you covered! When they send your package they also include a return shipping label and reusable padded envelope, making it hassle as well as charge free to mail back. All you gotta do is drop it in your local mailbox.

How does it work?

The first thing you will do when you sign up is take the Rocksbox style survey so your stylist can be sure to give you pieces you'll love. Then you just simply add some pieces to your "Wish List" so your stylist has a good starting point to choose from.

Yay! If you've made it to this step it means your first Rocksbox set is on it's way! Once you receive it you can wear it as much and for as long as you want.

Ready for something new? Just send it back and get your next 3 pieces! Love a piece or two? Just don't return them in your box.

The Perks In A Nutshell:

  • $21/Month for unlimited jewelry rental
    • Borrow 3 pieces at a time and swap them whenever you want!
  • $21 Monthly Shine Spend
    • Love a piece? Rocksbox gives you $21 a month to go towards any purchase you'd like to make.
  • No Commitment
    • Free, prepaid shipping both ways. You can also stop your subscription anytime you want!

Now about that Promo Code!

Since Blair over at Rocksbox was kind enough to think I'd be a good fit as a #RBItGirl, I now have a promo code that all of my readers are welcomed (and encouraged!) to use in order to get their first month subscription of Rocksbox completely free. This means unlimited usage for a whole month. Now that's a lot of sparkle!

All you need to do is use the code "starkravingchicxoxo" when you sign up and there you have it! One free month of designer jewelry. (Note: Rocksbox will charge your account $25 at this time just to validate your subscription, but that charge will be voided immediately after, so no worries!) Then if you love Rocksbox as much as I do, you can keep it for $21/month. Not a fan? You can cancel your subscription anytime!

Get your first set using my code? Tag me on Instagram @StarkRavingChic with a snap of your set or tweet me at @StarkRavingChic!

Again, to get your first month of Rocksbox free use the code: starkravingchicxoxo

#OOTD: Ilford & Izod

As some of you may know, aside from blogging, I actually work as a professional photographer for the company Dick's Sporting Goods. Though photography was my first love as I mentioned in my New Year's Resolutions post, it's not something I get to do much of outside of work anymore. However, today was a beautiful day, well for February anyways, so I decided to dust off my old Canon F-1, pop in a roll of Ilford and do what I love doing most: make pictures. I also thought it was a nice opportunity to show my readers the not so glammed up side of me, behold, this outfit of the day post was born!

The Look

Today while tromping around the grounds of my primary school Mount Gallitzin Academy, I chose just to wear a simple cable knit Izod sweater paired with my old favorite Levi's. The reason why I chose this is because like most photographers, I prefer to be comfy when shooting!

Simple Jewelry

Though jewelry wasn't necessary for this look, I always wear my Movado watch while out shooting simply because I don't like to carry my phone when I am photographing, but still like to be able to check the time. I also tried something new by pairing it with my Spike and Crystal bangle from Bijoux USA. And just to add a little extra shimmer, I threw on my Tiffany kidney bean necklace!

Lastly I decided to wear my beautiful handmade Jared silver ball filigree earrings, one of my favorite gifts from my mother.

One Last Look

What are some of your favorite comfy pieces? Let's chat about it in the comments below or tweet me at @StarkRavingChic! Also if you want to show me any of your favorite pieces, feel free to tag me on Instagram at @StarkRavingChic.
